FAQS

Common Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions about Voyagers in Learning. We aim to provide clear answers to assist parents and families in making informed decisions about their child's education. Explore the details to learn more.

What age groups do you serve?

At Voyagers in Learning, we cater to students from preschool through sixth grade with the goal of adding more upper grades. Our flexible curriculum adapts to the various developmental stages, ensuring that each child receives the attention and resources they need to thrive academically and personally.

What is your teaching philosophy?

Our teaching philosophy centers on hands-on, student-centered learning that promotes curiosity and engagement. We believe that children learn best when they are actively involved in their education, allowing them to explore, create, and discover.

What is your Vision for Voyagers?

How will you accomplish your Mission?

At Voyagers in Learning, we see a child first, recognizing each one as a child of God; rooted in faith and guided by eternal truths. Though we begin as a small and close-knit community, our vision is bold: to grow into a full preschool-twelfth grade and beyond; involving multiple communities. Known for its character-driven culture, and preparing students for the real world with courage and clarity.

Extra Resources

At Voyagers in Learning, we envision a dynamic learning environment where education is active, meaningful, and deeply personalized. Hands-on exploration, real-world experiences, and purposeful play. Where students question boldly, collaborate freely, discover deeply and take responsibility. From direct instruction to inquiry and experimentation; from projects and games to simulations and technology, we blend the best of every pathway to meet every learner’s needs.

Our Teachers

At this time, Voyagers does not have an on-site nurse, counselor, or psychologist. We are actively working toward adding a Special Education teacher; however, families may need to seek outside support services as needed. Voyagers will honor current 504 Plans and IEPs to the extent required and appropriate within our program.

Our full-time teachers hold degrees in education and maintain current licensure. Unless otherwise noted, teachers are certified in general education. Voyagers does not provide specialized certification in areas such as behavioral services, special education, ADHD, or dyslexia. We are committed to supporting students through thoughtful instruction and the use of research-based strategies to the best of our ability.

What is Voyagers future?

Voyagers is designed to be more than a school—it is a place for the entire community.
Our goal is not only to serve our students, but to create a space where families and neighbors can gather, connect, and grow together.

We envision a campus that becomes a true community resource. From a castle setting that can host weddings, birthdays, family reunions, and hands-on classes—like building with traditional tools—to a lively marketplace where local families share homemade goods such as bread, cookies, pasta, and pizza in a welcoming, relationship-focused environment; where phones are forgotten.

Our theatre stage and barn will open the door for performances, events, and gatherings, all set within a peaceful, natural setting that reflects the beauty of God’s creations.

At Voyagers, we are building more than a school—we are building a place where community, creativity, and connection come to life.

The future of Voyagers in Learning
Nautical Rope

We loved her so much. She was a great teacher. I had two grandkids in her classroom and one of them with a disability. She treated both my kiddos with respect and was great with my grandson who was in a wheelchair. She even came up with an idea to put wheels on his classroom chair so that he could get around easier in her classroom and not have to be in his wheelchair all day. She made learning fun for the kids and they excelled in school. I observed her several times while helping out in the classroom. She made all the kid feel important and taught each child individually because every kid learns differently and she knew what they needed to learn. My grandson still talks about her all the time and we cherish all the memories we made with her.
